IELTS Speaking Part 1 is the first part of the IELTS speaking test and usually lasts around 4–5 minutes. In this part, the examiner asks simple questions about familiar topics such as your family, school, hobbies, hometown, food, and free time. You should answer the questions clearly and naturally, usually with two or three sentences. The examiner will assess your fluency, vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation. It is better to give a reason or example with your answer instead of only saying “yes” or “no.” The main goal is to show that you can communicate in English confidently in everyday situations.
